I would pull the trigger on the trade, curious to see if Yzerman does also.
I still think we need another top guy to play with dach and slaf sooner than later and top 5 are more or less nhl ready
Apparently, the price to move from #5 to #4 would be our 31st pick and a solid prospect. We should expect the return from 9 to 5 to be A LOT MORE!!!. We definitely don't need to add our 31st overall in this trade and Detroit needs to add probably a 2nd year next year to make the deal fair. I look at guys available at 17th at we have loads of guys like that in our prospect pool. I am looking at the Red Wings prospect pool and it kinda sucks….they need to refill the cupboards. Habs cupboards are full and we need to combine some of those assets for legit elite players. I don't think both teams want to do this deal.

Sorry, that's not a good trade coach. I don't care about Michkov, but if Leo Carlsson is by some miracle still available , that's who we should chose. If not we'd need a better return than what you proposed to move down in the draft. I like Belzile and the effort he shows but he is not part of the long term solution. RHP , i'd offer 1.575 for two years with the habs retaining an option for a third year. In Riley Kidney, Owen Beck and Joshua Roy , we already have the kind of player that would be available at#17,so,no deal🥴👍
