I know I’m a fool, but I believe them. I’m not sure they will successfully build a team, but I do buy them at face value when they say they are going to try to build it the right way. I think the fanbase is being heard pretty loud and clear right now as for the first time ever, you’re seeing attendance waiver and I’m sure viewership has fallen overall. I believe Keith Jones has likely been just as or nearly as frustrated as we are about the last decade.

The franchise keeps reiterating patience right now, so I do think Briere will take his time and follow the plan he’s laying out currently because overall it would be in the best interest of his career. I like many are hesitant with all of the former flyers being brought in, and yes I also agree bringing in former players isn’t a bad thing as a rule, it’s just worrisome because it leaves you wondering if they’re doing the due diligence or if they’re just hiring their buddies they think would be the most qualified.

Again I’m probably being too optimistic about it, but I think it’s a rebuild I can get excited about overall, even with the understanding that a lot can go wrong over the next few years derailing it.
