The Jackets thought they were the only team in on him at the draft, but when they found out Ottawa was in on him, they had to take him with their first pick as Ottawa had five picks between Columbus first and second pick. Jarmo likens him to Panarin, saying he makes unbelievable plays and has great vision on the ice. Remember, Panarin was undrafted. This is why great scouting is soo important.
