Lethbridge had a serial streaker around that time that always wore red socks. When this happened I said it was probably the same guy and behold this dude was a student in Lethbridge at the time.

This was my first Flames game ever 😂

I have a feeling there are super high levels of lead in the Medicine Hat water.
Or maybe it was just an epidemic of drugged out idiots around this time period, I know way too many dumb losers from that town.

I was at this game. Way up in Press Level 1 (it was section 301 back in those days).
We were lucky that someone pointed him out to the section just in time for us to look over to see red socks and a whole lot of skin going over the glass.
He was there. He went over. He didn’t get up.
We couldn’t really see much after that as the boards were blocking all but a little bit of his socks.
No one on the ice really knew what to do. Everyone in the dome was standing to get a look. I remember it actually took quite awhile before anyone did anything.
The crowd gave a huge cheer when the trainer came over and draped the comically small hand towel over his twig and berries.
It took so long to stretcher him out that the crowd was not really amused anymore. He got a mixed chorus of boos, jeers and polite clapping when they finally wheeled him away.
