The Oilers are capped out and need to find breathing room on the salary cap

With two of the best players in the league, and a strong cast of surrounding characters, the Edmonton Oilers are a threat in the playoffs every year, but the results haven’t exactly been there. TSN Oilers reporter Ryan Rishaug joins Jay Onrait to discuss the Oilers options in the offseason.

  1. You're the GM of the Edmonton Oilers, what realistic changes are you making to the team to not only be cap compliant, but better next season?

  2. Should not be no movement clauses, or no trade. more performance bonuses, no set in stone contracts, able to hit arbitration if you feel a player is not performing and change the contract.. able to cancel the contract if the player is not doing what or anywhere close to what you hoped, or wanted.

  3. Fogelman is good..was going ttyo the net well during the playoffs. Oilers will have no depth at the bottom of their lineup.

  4. Have fun against a full & healthy Avs roster next year WHO ARE GOING TO BE ADDING MORE PIECES TO THEIR ROSTER 🤣

It's going to be hilarious watching how they try to ink Drai to a new contract next year. I'm thinking if they fail in the playoffs again next year, they'll make a Hail Mary trade involving Drai for MULTIPLE pieces back to try to win at least ONE CUP with McDavid.
