Sean would/could have had several UFA options. Maybe even a few cup contenders. Why Montreal? Firstly: he is a loyal dude. Secondly: he obviously likes MTL (despite their lack of being a cup contender, currently). Thirdly: he sees their potential. Fourthly: guys wanting to go to MTL (ie. Monahan, PLD. Pez) is great news for and to promote MTL as a destination to other players. Fifthly: these young kids want a balance work/life balance. MTL seems to be becoming that. The Habs are becoming modern and less old school. The kids love that. It reaches them. Cup # 25 in 4-6 years. Go Habs Go!!!
