  1. I feel like Dadanov has top 6 potential in Dallas. If not top 6, on the 3rd line the Wyatt-Benn- (some1 fillin) would be the 2nd line. Dadanov scored 20 times with 44 points when Debour coached him.

  2. I have a sneaky suspicion the young man may find himself when he puts on that Habs jersey, Magical things happens in the long habs history. Good luck Denis!!! Keep Praying Drew

  3. I would have been happy if Hughes had traded Dadonov for a 3rd round pick. But instead, he traded for an RFA who's 6'3", 205lbs is fast and has a pretty good shot. I looked it up, in 2019-2020, he was the top goal scorer in Dallas with 20 goals. So I have to say, that's better than a 3rd round pick. And unlike a draft pick in the next draft, this guy's ready to go tomorrow, not in a few years from now. So as you can guess, I'm happy about this trade. We've seen Dach transform under Marty. Now we get to see what Marty can do with Gurianov.

  4. According to PLebrun, Hughes was looking for a 3rd rounder for Dadonov (which is surprising enough) and it sounds like Winnipeg may have been interested in Dadanov but when they traded w/Vegas, Hughes pivoted to Dallas. Ppl may disagree but I would have preferred keeping Dadonov, and open up cap space letting him walk as a UFA. BUT, considering we went from Weber to Dadonov to Gurianov 25yrs, 1yr left @ 2.8mil and then a RFA, former 1st rounder, and in playoffs 2020 in 27gms had 9g8a, drawbacks: inconsistency and defensive awareness…that is still a pretty impressive roster management. Now teams give up on players for a reason…we will have to wait and see what Gurianov is about, but watching his YT clips, he's big, he's fast, he has skill, he has the character to stick up for his teammates so it should be interesting to see him play out this season. Let MSL do his coaching magic!

  5. Another great move by Hughes ..Big Logan and Big Gurianov will shoot all night from the right side ..Will be fun to watch …Gurianov had to play def on the bottom line at star packed Dallas so his checking game is better …

  6. What a hell of a wheel and deal. Shined up a rusty car for a very good one! Love hhd deal. Love his wheels shot and good teamate and young!! Keep this guy kent! Ghg!!!!

  7. This guy could be a Dach 2.0 player. He was one of the fastest skaters on the Stars. His 9 game absence for family reasons is a concern since he is a citizen of the Soviet Union. Overall it cost the Habs about 100,000 on the cap hit. No risk, maybe some reward.

  8. Good deal. Him on a line with Dach and Slaf would be a killer line (once Slaf comes into his own of course)

  9. Size, skating/speed, hard quick release, offensive aggression, young with potential to tap into…if he doesn't re-sign in offseason they get a draft pick based on his new contract value. Can't argue with that. They obviously think he has more to offer than he showed in Dallas.

  10. Obviously, the Habs hope to get a decent amount of games from Gurianov next season, before making a deal for him at the trade deadline.

  11. I have one player for your to keep in mind when you look at Gurianov. Tage Thompson.

Not saying DG will be a 40G scorer, but how many people wrote off Tage? Look at him now.

  12. I've been reading the journalist comments out of Dallas, they really don't like Gurianov. He's described as a party boy, video game addict, lazy, immature, plays 1-4 games. Marty St-Louis will have his hands full with this dude

  13. Stars fan here…don't expect much lol…but super nice kid with talent.. best of luck!

  14. As a Stars fan I can say:

You're getting a lightning fast skater who has the Hockey IQ of a bucket of sand. He has little to no defensive ability and his offensive production doesn't make up for his lack of defense.

  15. Do you think savard is ruining our young defenseman… goulie & harris r trying to play goalie ( like savard ) & not taking the puck or man infront of the net

  16. Hoffman can handle the puck so he stinks on the powerplay . I call he give it away Hoffman

  17. As a Stars fan Gurianov just needed a change of scenery- he was lost as a goose in a snowstorm here. Blazing fast speed (NO defense whatsoever) and it was a good two way trade Dadonov has 13 points in his 14 games here in Dallas. Dallas is SOOO afraid of Guri being another Val Nichushkin who literally the last year here set a record for consecutive games with no goals as a forward- like 60 something. Goes to Colorado and becomes a solid 2nd line player. We even turned him into a verb- lets not get nichushkined with Gurianov. We probably will.
