The HHOF committee is a bunch of losers. If Rod had the same stats and won a cup for a major market/Canadian team he’d have been in first ballot.
Rod hits every mark to get in but they continue to snub him.
Them picking 3 goalies only tells you how much of a joke this entire thing is.
At this point just be honest he’s not getting in and call it a day because this yearly screw job is just tiring at this point.
He’s not getting in unless he wins a cup coaching. They will continue die on the hill of saying his playing accomplishments aren’t good enough when we all know there’s other reasons.
I think the HHOF has made it pretty clear that they don’t see Rod as a HoF player. Doesn’t matter really, Rod is going to go out there and earn another Cup as a coach and make them put him in the HoF.
It’s fine that Brind’Amour isn’t in the Hall of Fame. His playing career just doesn’t belong, and that’s fine. It’s not a disgrace and it’s absolutely not a conspiracy.
I figured after he publicly said how much pride he would take in his father seeing him in the HHOF that as soon as his pops passed away they’d throw him in next ballot as an extra little fuck you to him personally.
Let’s face it, everything about the sport is a joy to watch. Everything about the way the league itself is run is a dumpster fire that’s so intense it’d burn on the fucking moon without any additional oxygen.
Turgeon but not Rod? He has zero cups. He was never considered the best at his position. That’s baffling to me
I want Rod to get the Hall induction AFTER winning the Cup as a coach for the Canes.
Quite a weak class. King Henrik I can see I guess, but the others belong in the Hall of Very Good and not the HOF, especially Mike Vernon who might not make the “Very Good” classification.
If fucking softest player in history Pierre Turgeon gets in there’s no way they can keep leaving Rod out.
