Rick switch to golden milk or take some green Kratom and you'll become so much more paced with a wee bit of gravitas in your delivery.Just the free advice you never asked for.
For the right price, I'd bring back Bear and Burroughs. You can always use depth. I thought Ethan got better as the season went on, and Burroughs certainly adds an element of grit that that blue line especially lacks. Neither one of them are Top 4 defensemen, especially not Kyle, but they're both very useful players if put in the right roles. The Canucks need more help on the blue line. A 3rd line centre would be nice, but fixing that back end is more important. Those 2 don't fix anything, but you always need depth.
LUCIC is exactly what the doctor ordered for the softest team in the NHL. Do Vancouver fans seriously think Petey and Hughes wouldn't get obliterated in a playoff series against Pietrangelo, Theodore, Martinez, Hague, McNabb and Whitecloud? The Canucks need to focus on TOUGH free agents. Lucic included.
How many cups of coffee did Dhali have prior to the show today?! :p
Bear has improved steadily during the course of last season, but I am very concerned of a six-month injury. The Canucks have not been a team great in helping rehab players with long-term injuries… To me, he is a 3rd pairing defenceman who can step up in stretches to play in the top 4… over-extending him would expose some of the weaknesses in his game. Burroughs on a reasonable deal would be a good insurance policy/depth defenceman. I personally would see what Luke Schenn is seeking in terms and in salary – he has proven to be an excellent guy to have on this team, so bring him back!
If they can Sign Soucey and Graves to reasonable contracts say $3.5 & $4.5M respectively, that's the entire OEL buyout cap savings… Still need to trade a winger our 2 and sign a 3rd line center. But Holly Crap that would be a HUGE defence. 1)Hughes/??? 2)Graves (6'5")/ Horenk (6'0") 3)Soucey (6'5")/Myers (6'7")
Donnie can add "Professional Dhali Handler" to his resume, especially when you see him running amok on Sekeres and Price. Years ago and if you're able to ignore the Bruin baggage, Lucic makes sense, but the Canucks needs any depth forwards they pick up to also be dedicated penalty killers; especially if they're getting another winger and that isn't Lucic. They desperately need good penalty killers so they don't have to keep playing their top forwards in that role all the time.
For those wondering why Lucic is hanging on so hard… he doesn’t want to be at home with his wife. He’ll play for sandwiches just to not have to go home.

It wouldn't hurt to bring Lucic for a season, and worst case ontario they can move him at the deadline for a 7th round pick lol
These guys are gold 👌
