Can the Montreal Canadiens bring back Tyler Toffoli in a pre-Draft trade?

Inside today’s Locked on Canadiens

The NHL announced they are discontinuing the tradition of wearing special jerseys in pre-game warmups for various causes. This includes Pride Nights, Hockey Fights Cancer, Military Appreciation and Black History Month and both hosts have plenty of thoughts to give. Why is the league so keen to not do the basic things that other sports do without issue?

On the other side of things, the Calgary Flames appear to be in total freefall in the near future with multiple players stating they will not re-sign with the team. This includes former Canadien Tyler Toffoli who it was announced on Thursday night is also available for a trade ahead of the NHL Draft. So the hosts debate, can Toffoli be brought back to Montreal? Does he still fit on the roster at all anymore?

Finally, it’s the final Friday Mailbag before the NHL Draft and the hosts are answering all sorts of pre-draft questions to end the show!

  1. it starts with the jersey, sorry but its turned into a religion and a de facto left wing movement, its partisan and it has no place into the rink. You dont need a label like pride to make a difference in people lives, only people from this movement insist that it must be "pride" and come with a flag and a jersey, btw way to group people up into groups and think they all think the same

  2. Habs must move on with younger talent the older category have had there time in the NHL of course there are some exeptions .but the game is so fast now need young legs and talent.

  3. Scott…

I’ll try to bring you the perspective about the Pride jerseys…

I know from an atheist perspective it’s difficult to comprehend, because you’re probably not aware of what I’m going to say

From the perspective of players who are Christians…

In the Bible, it says :

    “God created Man & Woman.“
    &
“God made Man to be WITH Woman.”

    and…
Whether you agree with it or not…

    It also says that therefore,

Homosexuality is an abomination to God.

    So…

    I know you guys…
    Again…
    As non-Christians…

You think wearing a Pride jersey is
    “no-big-deal”

    but…

    for a Christian…

You’re literally forcing them to wear something that goes against their beliefs.

    Again…

You might not believe in the Bible…

You might disagree with what it says regarding homosexuality…

    That’s fine…

    But when you try to

    FORCE

    people…

to do something that goes against their beliefs…

    That’s crossing the line.

Ask any Muslim what they would say…

    If their team/company
asked them to wear a shirt saying :

    “Buddha is better than Muhammad“

    Seriously…

    Ask any Muslim.
    See what their answer is.

    Again…

Not asking you guys to agree with me here.

Just explaining you the perspective of the players who didn’t want to wear the Pride jersey.

    Hope that helped.
