Dumba interference on O’Connor – Have your say!

Matt Dumba was given a minor penalty for interference on this hit to Drew O’Connor. Was interference the right call? Was two minutes enough? Was this even a penalty?
Tough Call will be reviewing the incident. Have your say!

  1. Again another player that could've made a nice hard open ice hit maybe a bit late. Why they have to get low and push off the ice in an upward motion (jumping) causing Dumba to catch the jaw of O'Conner so always baffle me.

Sad part is player safety will again do nothing and another hour to the head from an intentional jumping motion will go unpunished again. A 2 min penalty is nothing compared to the automatic suspension.

  2. 3 out of 5 Troubas. Definitely late, definitely charging/illegal check to the head. Should have been at least 5 and game.

  3. Cheap shot. Dumba sees the pass, could have let up. Comes from the side and launches upward. Major & game misconduct

  4. Look at that in real time, and the timing associated with him initiating his check and leaving the puck. I'd say it's clean and wouldn't call it, but by present standards might have called 2 min interference.
