I want to see the boy's fight for the puck. Jost, Kreb, Cozzens. Get rid of Olofsson, Mittlestat and the other puck watchers. Take defense a little more serious and hit someone. Finish your checks. That's all I ask. Probably to much for our boys.

Defensive play of this Sabres team is horrendous and this causes scoring chances which leads to goals against. The goals against, especially early goals, impact the teams confidence. Lack of confidence effects a teams effort and aggression. I think the Sabres may be playing the wrong system as well which leads to the horrendous defensive play.

Donny having 2 more years on contract has me concerned. This shit carrying over next season is a big concern. Sticking with this system next year get ready for another up down season. For me the ending of last season and this season you can almost say they went backwards this year.
Greenway on the top line? Okposo starting game head to head against Bruins top line? Okposo was -3 and double shifted in first period. Greenway is a huge sloth who gives zero effort, he doesnāt get involved in rough stuff, doesnāt shoot, doesnāt move quick, we got scammed big time and now stuck with 3 million dollar cap hit for 2 seasons. If Greenway doesnāt play tough against Boston when will he ever?
Wayne I'll tell you exactly what has the boys flustered, it's the last 25% of the season switch from regular season hockey to playoff hockey, they don't know what hit them. If this is how KA and Granato are going to construct our team then almost every Sabre player will need to work very hard in a very smart strength, nutrition, rest and recovery program in the offseason- then when they come back the Sabres will have to work very hard to help them maintain those strength/weight gains through the season. Basically you are going to have to use accelerated physical development in leu of free-agency and trades.
I haven't seen one thing from Greenway at all. Big dude that don't hit. I'd rather have victor. At least he scores goals
Wayne , this ending is extremely disappointing. The lack of aggressive players really hurt this team . Itās really hard to watch guys like Dahlin getting hit game in and game out with out any consequences. Our goaltending is really below par.I am a fan of the HC but I am tired of him babying this team . Very disappointing ending . With out on infusion of some aggressive players next year will not look any different. Really disappointing with the GM that he canāt see the need of different types of players . The season was fun to watch , lots skills and speed , the future looks good with some changes.
Just a note to all those hating on UPL. He's a ROOKIE. Playing behind the softest defence who give up way too many quality shots. Whilst I agree that the goalies have been mediocre just check out another 1st year Sabre with an .896 sp and 3.15 gaa. Dominik Hasek. And he was in his 3rd NHL season. The following year everything changed. If Buffalo don't address the defence and Levi gets lit up will those same boosters turn on him too? š¤
Its not just goaltending the bigger issue is D zone coverage . Defence has been BRUTAL all year!!. Gaps are too big, players looking at the puck carrier instead of covering their man. D coach Marty Wilford needs to be replaced asap !
Adams needs to bring in a stay at home veteran D man to partner Owen Power! There are a few available in free agency this summer.
As far as offence drying up , of course it will as its easy to score in nov and dec then in March when teams tighten up defensively to get ready for the playoffs. Sabres are too soft, all their shots come from the perimeter with zero net traffic.
Im sad too. But at least we got to watch entertaining hockey into March… Improvement.

Greenway plays softer than Olofsonofabitch! Hard to watch Dahlin getting abused. . .wouldn't be shocked if he left to go play for a team where he didn't have to be the tough guy every game, it's fing total BS they don't have anyone to intervene on their stars behalf. Dad took me to see them play the Habs the first year of their existence, but it's getting harder and harder to watch what they have become (the softest team outside of peewee hockey)
Donāt worry folks the coach will fix this by benching Peterka and Quinn and giving Greenway and the Italian midget more icetime! Instead of developing rookies they will be benched while we watch giant sloths give zero effort or watch Smurfs who have 1 hit on season.

They kept him sealed up in the pocket and when he couldnt read defenses well, having never really had to learn it in college, he was history.
Tage is not being allowed anymore to set up and fire from the leftwing circle as before, and he has gone AWOL. My $$ is on him doing better next yr. with 30 goals a realistic expectation.

The boys were wanting the pressure of a race. They're wilting a litt from the pressure. But this experience They're getting is what was needed for this group. They're still growing up right before our eyes. Trust me they want it more than us fans do. They will get it !!!!!!!
If Granato really has "lost the room" as the saying goes, only one thing is certain: Kevyn Adams will take at least a year to fire him, maybe a year and a half. Just look at Krueger.

Wayne they most certainly have given up. You watch them on the bench and you can clearly see theyāre done. Zero energy, nobody is paying attention anymore. What you saw all season is gone.
As a bruins fan who watches the Bās dominate teams like the rangers, donāt look too much into it. Itās rare that 2 of your teams stats return on 1 mill contracts to allow you to have a stacked roster on all 4 lines. Bertuzzi and or Taylor hall on your third and 4th line. Itās just an insanely good team they make everyone look bad.
I honestly do not know why Granato has this thing about keeping goalies in when they are clearly playing terrible. UPL should be pulled after allowing 3 goals on 6 shots. The goal tending is killing their chance at any potential playoff push and I put Granato for blame on that. So many goals against Buffalo are 3 or 4 Sabres in a corner after the puck and no one watching the outside/slot players. This is frustrating hockey to watch, this IS the Sabres Identity. No defensive play…period. They wonder why fans wont come back, this is why. Tage has been asleep the last 2 weeks so if he isn't clicking the team doesn't seem to be. I don't wanna be superstitious but you all know Sammy is out, and you saw our record before when he was out.

It was heartbreaking again š. I believe in this team though. Thereās something magical here. Not just for Buffalo either, but the game of hockey. Itās been too many years since weāve had meaningful games. This is the closest weāve been.
