Flames situation is weird…Craig Conroy is well thought of by everybody in Calgary…Darryl Sutter is respected but…he's a cantankerous old fellow that had Calgary playing an unhappy brand of hockey and they didn't win…but he's gone…So, why are people wanting to jump ship?…Are they thinking that Ryan Huska is too close to Sutter…?..Is it the American thingo? I want to be on the south side of the 49th?..Just plain Weird.
This is becoming a worrisome trend in the NHL. And it seems to be happening to Canadian teams mostly.
If the players can dictate where they want to play and have control over their "Employers" this is bad.
Habs should pick Michkov because he is a great player with high trade value even before he gets here. He could fetch a few picks/players if he is made available to the league by the Habs. We have Caufield, no harm in keeping him, but as a trade in 2-3 years? Bonanza time.

One idea that intrigues me is what if the habs trade for detroit's 9 and 17? If they really dont want Michkov and Anaheim doesnt take him or trade back for him, id be fine with trading back for an additional first from detroit or st louis
Hoffman is never ready at the beginning of the season. He plays good hockey for 2 months at the end of the seasons. So if they can get rid of him it would be great
I agree I like what he is doing but we need the high end talent this year. Trading up or staying put is the only way.
Dach..Monahan those type of moves mean absolutely nothing to me and the Habs.
I hope Hughes is looking at attaining another first round pick this year because there is too much talent in this draft.
As of right now I need to see coaching I need to see improvement in their systems NOT the numbers but the way they actually play in each zone.
When players do not play well structured systems ALL their numbers will be poor or worse than their potential.

Man, Dach was Montreal's best player for many games last year. Easily the best passer on the team especially on the PP. He's amazing at stealing pucks with that long reach. Dubois for Dach is a straight up loss for Montreal so I have know idea how everyone's down for that. I'm crossing my fingers hoping Dach and Anderson aren't involved if Dubois on the way.
Will Smith declined an interview with the Sharks. They will not draft Will Smith because down the the road he will become a free agent. So if Bedard, Fantellei. the Swede are 123 IMO SJS will pick MIchkov & Habs take Smith
