  1. Why don't they just trade the players who don't want to be there to the other team?… Problems fixed…

  2. Take heart, Jets and Flames fans: if you build it, they will come. As long as a team is winning and they have a positive culture, it doesn’t matter where your team is located. New Jersey has never been a coveted destination until now, because they have those two things.

  3. All I know as a Flames fan is I feel sick, like that kind of feeling of hopelessness. So much change, gm gone, coach gone, players all want out. I wish we could trade all our big contracts and burn it to the ground. It feels like we are about to embark on some dark times. I get the feeling ownership and Conny want to still compete. God I hate being a Flames fan right now.

  4. I have a sneak suspicion that this off-season is going to go off the rails for Winnipeg, and if they don’t get the pieces back that they seem to think they can/should get, the 24-25 season is going to see them bottom out and finish below both the Blackhawks and Coyotes. That assumes they play most of the 23-24 season with all the guys who want out and only move them at the trade deadline because the offers this summer are not good enough.

  5. Nobody wants to live and play in whacky Far-Right Alberta…..it's simple. Even McDavid is counting the days…..and Winnipeg is too Churchy and dreary

  6. Dustin wolf will be the goalie for Calgary and win em 35+ games. He is that good

  7. I think the coyotes are looking at Tucson because this is their second pre season in 2 years

  8. I don’t want the flames to rebuild because I’m chapped that MTL has their 2025 1st, that was an awful trade by treliving

  9. New arena gives Calgary a rebuild target date. You can’t keep guys around who don’t want to be there (especially if it’s multiple). Clean them all out, fix the cap and draft pick issues and rebuild it; otherwise you’ll be stuck in mediocrity like Vancouver.

  10. I despise the idea of buying out a contract with one year left. Better idea: pick up half of Wheeler's salary. He's not worth 8M anymore, but he's absolutely fine at 4M. Might as well get some kind of asset back.

Wacky 3-way trade that completely makes sense if Philly is dumb enough to insist on trading Carter Hart…with the understanding that there would be more detail to this trade:

    To Winnipeg: Carter Hart
    To Philly: Devon Levi
    To Buffalo: Connor Hellebuyck

Yes, it shouldn't happen because many reasons, but there might be a deal here.

  11. We need to talk about the meaning of the word core, which is getting watering down .
Calling Huberdeu core after 1 season, THG, it's time to wake up

  12. Calgary is locked into this core for one more season then the bottom could fall out. They really botched going from having Gaudreau and Tkachuck to losing both and then overpaying 30 year olds that are not nearly as good as those two. In 2024 there are a ton of crucial UFAs. The team looks like they might need a rebuild if guys do not want to come back for team friendly deals but those guys you paid last summer plus Markstrom are just going to be paid a ton to watch their careers be wasted. As a Wild fan this is what I call locked into mediocrity. Not good enough to contend but have too many bad contracts to tank.

  13. The Flames need to stop worrying about the playoffs. The win now attitude is what lead the Canucks being a dumpster fire. They should step back and see what the players want and adjust from there. If someone wants to leave, trade them for something a pick, prospect, or replacement. Just focus on fixing the team first then focus on the Cup. you drive a broken pickup in an F1 race.

  14. Remember last off season when calgary imploded, and the traveling made his moves and every flames fans thought he was a God.

And now this. Couldn't of happened to.a nicer team

  15. blues fan here and we exist only to profit a mandarin .. wish they would try to really build a cup team … what would it take to get lowry ?

  16. i'm sorry to say but this problem seems unrelated to hockey and more related to "outside hockey". didn't toffoli said he was looking to stay in calgary and that his wife liked the city? this was at the season end. 2 months later, Tre is out and he wants out too? why Tre left to begin with also. there is something going on over there.

  17. Both teams need to rebuild badly. Instead they'll postpone for a few years and end up in mediocrity purgatory for year.

  18. Well my Patents are on their way to Calgary. But i don't think they have any effect on the Team.
Wait….so thats my dads new Job.

  19. Jets will get more in return and re tool
But it's all of western Canada to extent
Vancouver has issues cap wise Myers,Miller, garland, boeser ect
And if Edmonton didn't have McDavid not sure they would have same team or players lining up to go there.

  20. It just feels like Winnipeg was on the right track then management/coaching went awry and now players want out. Calgary, needed to fire Sutter a while ago, he burned so many players and they're still bitter.

  21. The Jets were a good/competitive team for a few years there but didn't make any significant changes like oh Idk…VGK. Mo obviously knew the attitude of that core. It reminds me of the Leafs actually, the exception being a true #1 goalie & that leaf fans continue getting neuralyzed by the Men In Blue

  22. The Jets are going nowhere as long as Chevy is still there. 12 seasons and just 3 playoff series wins. We've seen GMs who've won multiple cup not last as long. This whole thing stems from management leaning towards loyalty and friendship with the people you met along the way, rather than being focused on results.

  23. Best two teams to rebuild in the West when the annual dumpster fire that is EA NHL 24 comes out 😂

  24. I’m shocked it’s been so quiet on the winnepeg front so far. Probably a lot going on behind the scenes and perhaps teams are waiting for other chips to fall first

  25. Both of these teams feel like they are cursed… there is so much going wrong. Why are people jumping ship??
