I'm tired of Schwarber looking at strike 3's. Yes, I know they were outside, maybe a whisker off the line at best. You are the target of the umps & must protect your 2 – strike vulnerability. You're not going to get their charity calls. Remember little league when umps would widen the zone to avoid all the walks. I could stomach swings & misses, at least you would have a chance. You're not getting paid millions to watch pitches go by & walk back to the dugout like a whipped dog, staring at the ground or shaking your head.
sorry, we lost this game due to Thomson pulling Sanchez after the Phillies scratched and clawed to tie Scherzer…. and then they were pressing to hit and hit into 3 out of 4 Double Plays
Once again, this is what happens when you load up a team with sluggers who have no situational hitting or good base running. They just swing for the fences and leave a gazillion men on base.
Looks like Harper will be useless all year (no sign of past power) and Trea Turner is nothing like the superstar he is advertised as. Ryhs Hoskins' bat is gone all year too…Yep. This team is going nowhere. Feel sorry for the starting pitching staff who have finally got themselves together in the past three weeks (excellent pitching).
