I hope the Hayes/Sandheim deal finds a resolution because at this moment I'd love another 1st rd pick (esp if it's the 25th!!!)… First, having 3 first-rounders in some say in the deepest draft ever, can be monumental during this crucial team in rebuild period. Next, there is a slight possibility that Mitchov may fall to 7 which would be like a Jalen Carter situation and Danny should do EXACTLY what Howie did no questions asked because a potential GENERATIONAL TALENT is always always worth the risk!!!
The only issue is if he passes both Montreal & Arizona the team to watch for is for Washington at 8 to try and leapfrog the Flyers with Arizona because quite honestly like how Jalen Carter wasn't passing the Eagles at 10, Mitchov will not pass the Caps at 8!!! That said, it would ve VERY interesting during the minutes after Montreal picks and MM is till available to see if there could be some intense negotiations between Ari/Wash/Phi… Either one, I haven't been excited about a nhl draft since the Eric Lindros year!!! Hopefully this year will yield similar results 🙂
