I don't know how to make the deal, but I'd love to see Erik back on the team, as long as someone's retaining a bunch of his salary. Would Chabot have to go, or can we keep them all and have the best D core in the league? Who wants it, let's fucking go!!! Great show as always lads, cheers!
Not a fan of bringing him back. It took years to build such a solid D core. Why are we blowing it up with such a huge contract or moving talent? He doesn't play D that well. His contract is not going to age well, too. Nah…lets move on folks….sign him to a Giroux like contract after 4 more seasons when he is a UFA again and our team is that much more experienced with our core.
Would be beyond excited if Karlsson came back… just don't know how you make that work. Still think it makes more sense to wait til his contract is up or close to up.

We need a goalie more than an EK return, and I'm fine with Chabot, Zub, Sanderson and Chychrun as our top 4.

Sorry fellas, for a sports channel how can you blow it saying nothing came back on the EK trade and that you had to look the players up? Tierney and DeMelo were the NHL'rs and Norris was the prospect. It now looks like a Norris straight up for EK. Tell me that gamble hasnt paid off now. ( if Norris would stay healthy)

Hard hard no on Karl. The guy is a cancer in the dressing room. Listening to his interviews this past season as he was killing it in points reminded me why the best thing the Sens could have done was get rid of him!!
I'd love to see EK65 back in Ottawa but it would be way too complicated to fit under the cap unless the Sharks retain a good chunk of salary we move Chabot I dont see it happening. More likely he signs here as a UFA with a hometown discount once this current contract is over
Sens need a goalie more than they need EK65. Unless San Jose retains half his salary and we don't have to give up any of our top 6 forwards or top 4 d, it doesn't make sense.
Karlsson is so far from being a fit on the Sens, it would be a catastrophic mistake to bring him back unless he signs for under $1 million as a free agent and is ok with being the 7th D. People attribute his success last year to the departure of Burns, so why do Sens fans want to bring him back into a lineup which already has 3 #1 defensemen (Chabot, Sanderson, Chychrun) who will only get better? Karlsson brings nothing that the Sens need other than a warm feeling in some fans hearts.
