I like Reaves, but he jumps into the hit and drives his arms into his head. 3 games. If Dem were injured, double it. The league has to start upping penalties for the act, not just the result.
You can actually see the intent as he uses his stick to indicate to the defender that he's pressuring on the left side in order to set up the hit. That's a pretty bad one, with complete intent to do damage.
Definitively intent to injure. Don't get me wrong, I like a good scrap (Although it doesn't accomplish a thing). More like modern gladiators in a Roman arena. Tough guys like this guy are the way of dinosaurs.
DeMelo just cant bend down and put himself in a vulnerable position as a way to avoid getting hit. Reaves even pokes him to make sure he knows hes there. Sure you could have given him a 2 min boarding call, but thats never going to be a suspension. deMelo has a responsibility when he goes into the corner too.

I e watched this a bunch of times and idk how this isn’t boarding. Distance from boards, pure numbers, ffs he drives through it. Idk the result of what happened here but let me know if I’m wrong for whatever reason but that’s a penalty in my book…
This was suspendable all day, every day…. twice on Sunday. Gotta get rid of Parros, no two ways about it… he's more than a joke, should have his own sitcom, he's so stupid.
It that was a faster play I would say 2 for boarding the fact that it was not a bang bang type of play, he followed him in the whole way hoping he would turn, and the jump at the end. Makes it a 5 and maybe a game, just to show consistency through the league. Too slow and not violent enough for a suspension IMO but that jump through at the end is not a good look at all

Yeah, that has to be games, for sure. Spacing, timing, all of the bad boarding stuff.

Jets throw those hits and get away with it all the time. So I’m okay with it
