I would be very happy to see him come to Ottawa. I'd be even happier if Alex D. also stayed. I think that we could contend for the Stanley Cup if players remained healthy.

Between Akira Schmid and Devon Levi, I can't see NJ or Buffalo investing in Hellebuyck despite the immediate need and cap space they have for a big name goalie.
I think Ottawa would be the best overall fit, which gives Soogard a chance to learn from a proven Vezina goalie for a year and it won't rush Sogaard's development to his detriment. The last weeks of 22-23 were brutal and I think it hurt Mads' confidence.
New Jersey needs a Hell of a goalie.
I would like to see Hellebuck go to the Sens.
But when I see Hellebuck go to the Sabers, that gets scary 😮!

The Sabres would be so awesome for helle. Dynamic offense with outstanding top notch young defenseman with a weakened east (pens are old, flyers suck, Columbus sucks, islanders aren’t good, Detroit is a fringe team, Boston having to sell guys, etc).
I think Buffalo could be a contender as soon as next season if they get helle, or at the very least, break that playoff drought

Honestly only logical team is Buffalo or Ottawa. Buffalo owns the 13th overall pick with a deep pool. Ottawa has Grieg and Pinto. Pens have nothing to offer and the devils honestly only have Nemec who’s untouchable. Other than that he’s not going for mid
