It was rumored that Stars were unlikely to bring back both Dadonov and Domi. Is Domi headed back to Chicago even though we’ve most likely reached the cap floor?

I would like that to happen but I suspect that it will not.

Domi’s game with the Hawks was my favorite Domi. He played hard, but not completely stupid.

I’d be happy to have him on a 2 year contract but I absolutely wouldn’t want to get tied up in anything long term. If he wants years, we should pass.

They need to be at the cap floor all year so they can still grab him. If the Hawks plan to unload potential rentals in Foligno and if T. Johnson stays healthy, and even Dickinson can be rented. They need to be at or above the floor the Hawks will continue to spend money or take on money.

id love to have Domi but i also think he deserves a longer term contract than the Hawks would offer

Unlikely, he’ll probably be looking for a longer term than we’d be willing to give

Just because we hit the floor doesn’t mean we won’t spend more. We have like 27 million in cap space still. I expect more moves like we did last year, and maybe shipping some out at the deadline. Domi for a couple of years should be gucci

I’d say it’s 50/50. But I really can’t see them giving him too much term which is what he wants. 4 years and a NTC until the final year
