I think the devils won the toffoli trade in my opinion
Awesome trade. A little over 2 mil more than sharangovich but a much better player. Def helps round out the top 9
I think the Devils are gonna see Sharangovich shine in a system that doesnt demand you feed Hughes
I am a big Toffoli fan from his brief stay in Montreal and watching him in Calgary….hell of a player and even better teammate. Devils scored a "W" on this trade.
Glad to have Toffoli on the Devils…..Rango and a 3rd is a solid return….kid has a lethal shot and is a severely underrated penalty killer…he gets more opportunities in Calgary, he will shine.

WOWsa!! Another day of trades, busy, busy—Blackwood out of NJ is not a surprise, but, IMHO, he's still a capable goaltender. Good pickup by Devils, getting Toffoli.

Players want to win the cup, no? Why would you want your "new team" to pay an arm and a leg for you, weakening the team and thus your chances of winning the cup? He says he's glad to go with the team 'that wanted him the most'. This shows me his ego plays a bigger role than his desire to win with the Habs. If he wanted to play and win here, he would have played his last year in Winnipeg and signed with Montreal next year so we wouldn't get significantly weakened like LA just did.
I had a feeling he was going to NJ. He'll do good there. Shame though oh well.
Good Move. Get Younger. A first for Toffolli is a pipe dream. That's a move you do at the deadline as there is very little player return so get compensated with Draft Picks. also only a year left on his deal. Bonus that we don't get stuck on another long term deal on a 30+ player.
Shari is a nice player that here in Nj – we are stacked with his size and shot. We just added size and playoff wisdom. Damn! Fitz 2024 GM of the year already! Flipped that 3rd and Shari for Toff! Holy Moly!!!!
