Montreal screwed up. Not only did they miss out on Dubois (it's not everyday you have a player who is a solid top 6 guy, big, is getting better, and wants to go home), they also overpaid for Newhook (from what I've seen from him in Colorado, I have no hope he'll be a solid top 6 player. Don't forget, in Colorado, he was given ample opportunities to succeed when Kadri left last summer and Landeskog was out for the entire year).
PLD is an albatross to any team he's played on. He's a major league whiner. Good luck in the Pacific Division with this p.o.s. on your roster.

The Kings sold the transmission to get gas money. Imagine getting rid of an entire line for ONE player, while having no backup plan (or cap) to restore that line. Not to mention, they still need a goaltender LMAO!!

I can't see someone like Dubois playing well under T. Mclellan's 'hide at home in the D-zone' trap systems. The Oilers are going to EASILY wipe them in 4 if they meet again in the first round next year.

At the end of the day the team that receives the best player wins the trade. I’d take PLD over these thugs any day if the week. It seems the Jets will be a team of lunch pail bucket players.
Speaking of the leafs that team is done. Once they decided to bring Keefe back it shows how stupid that organization is. Meanwhile other teams in Canada are shaking their teams up while the leafs will stay put . Just repeat the same thing over each seasons.
