Michael Clarke absolutely dominated a star-studded South African attack in the 2012 Adelaide Test, hammering 230 to become the first man in history to score four Test double hundreds in a calendar year

  1. As much as I dislike Clarke, I always enjoyed watching him bat when he was in form, and people shouldn't forget how much worse that period of losing the greats would have been without him there.

  2. When I teach youngsters about batting, I use Pup Clarke as the epitome of what it is 'supposed' to look like. All poise and class and style with that immaculate straight bat. Power comes from timing not brute strength.

  3. Unlike his 329* this was hardly without chances, but still a great knock. Remembers it differently but still amazing.

    SA still won this series which is most mind-boggling of all. Clarke hed two doubles this series.

  4. Unbelievable player when in form. Too bad his back gave way in the end. It's sad to see how he's falling apart after retirement these days but what a wonderful player he was

  5. Nice. Was watching the score of Hussey grow after Warner's ton as well. Would have been an amazing day.

  6. What might have been if his back didn't give out- the player who got me into cricket. That 329 will always be so, so special to me.
