I don't see a defenseman at 7 maybe 22. I like pellikka or dragocevic better than reinbacher. most of these defensemen are not graded in the top 15. just be happy fletcher is no longer gm because he would mess this up big time.
Nice job. I do think it’s worth signing a vet or two in free agency on one-year deals with a low cap hits, provided they’re not taking ice time from a young player of significance. Those are the kinds of players you can flip at the TDL for a pick or two.
In the end, I don’t think the franchise truly turns around until they stumble into real luck — drafting a couple top 15 players in the league; a second or third rounder turning into the next Patrice Bergeron; taking a risk by trading a good player for multiple young ones who end up blossoming into top tier players (Recchi for Leclair & Desjardins). It feels like the slow amassing of assets is what they will do because it’s logical, but they won’t turn into the next Lightning or Penguins or Blackhawks until they get lucky and hit a couple real home runs.
I do like Danny though. Hope he’s willing to take a risk (like Holmgren was) without being reckless (like Holmgren was).
Can we get Howie Roseman to come in and re plenish this bad hockey team!! Man how this proud proud organization has turned into an afterthought and a joke around the league!! It’s a shame
I wouldn't complain about picking either Leonard or Rinebacher. Like Moore's speed, which is a quality the Flyers sorely lack, but his small stature is questionable. The biggest unknown in this draft is Mitchkov – extremely talented enough to be in the top 5 but the uncertainty of Russian mandatory military service or him deciding to stay in the KHL could upset the entire draft order. I hope the Flyers make another trade to get a pick between that #22 & #87 gap.
Flyers organization…better get hockey people in key position in front office…this Philadelphia flyers….come on now…laughing stock period.. Pittsburgh pens..key people in there building..that know hockey….😮
