Leonard-Benson- Dalibor- Perreault-Simashev-Willander oh and I forgot Moore and Barlow. Any of these players would be a blessing imo
Who do you want the Canucks to (realistically) select at 11?
Hi clay great vid happy draft day willander Moore or wood would be awesome to get at 11th honestly but we won’t know who the canucks pick until the name is called id predict willander though
Hope they pick Simachev he could turn out like Hedman
Willander for a defensemen or Benson if they want a forward
We need a D Man. Plain and Simple
Simachev if hes available unless a Top Center Falls or Benson is there. Im torn Btwn BENSON or SIMACHEV
Other than the top say three noone or very unlikely, any player plays more than 9 games next year.
By the time any draftee is ready for the show, who's to know club needs.
SO….best player available…..a RD if thats the best player.
I wouldn't know much about anyone without scouting reports and Cam Robinson is the best. He has convinced me that Simashev is the best choice for the Canucks and Danielson should not even be considered. Everyone else is fine. If they take Danielson I will be angry. Reports sound way too similar to what they said about Jake Virtanen: straight away speed good, but not enough high offensive IQ to be a top pick. That is all I need to hear about Danielson. I will be relieved if they take anyone but him.
Simachev. He could pair with Hronek to give us another great pairing

If there are two or three solid D-men available by the time the Canucks' turn come, I would totally support them trading down with someone like Pittsburgh (14th) or Nashville (15th) to get an additional second round pick. Sandin Pellikka's stocks appear to have dropped because he is too much of a risk taker, but I think we also need to factor in his age and how D-man would take time to develop. Having him play with or without Quinn Hughes really intrigues me. Willander will be the safer pick, but I think the Canucks want a home run and not a double when they are constantly refusing to re-build… I am not sold on Simashev – players coming from the KHL are always a hit-and-miss. Kuzmenko has been great, but Podkolzin so far has not lived up to expectations… so for someone who doesn't have much of an offensive upside, I would not consider him over Sandin Pellikka or Willander.
I would like Simashev or Wood. Realistically I see Benson or Willander. Simashev is a bit of a project while a player like Willander would fit our system maybe better. Benson would be the best available forward. Mind you the big Russian will do fine. I think of him a lot like Quinton Byfield. So much potential. He reaches his potential could be a super star. Byfield is still a question mark, but it is starting to look up. And I have a fear he could be the best defenseman in the draft. We miss out it would be Mathew all over again.
I like Matthew Wood, who is likely to play at center.
