  1. I checked out his hi-lite package. Good shot. He was 2nd in the WHL Play-offs in points per game. He is only 18, he can learn the D- side of the game while he is in Scranton/Wilks for the next few years. He needs to add 20 pounds in the gym. Good pick by Dubas, I disagree with the notion that he was a "reach" Most draft boards I saw had him earlier than #14.

  2. I wanted Moore. But honestly, the draft is always a crap shoot. Looking around online, I think a lot of people are needlessly disappointed in the Yager pick. Outside of the odd can't miss prospect you just don't know. There've been so many times where I really wanted the Penguins to get somebody. And the guy the Pens drafted did nothing, but the player I wanted instead did nothing, too.

Around a decade ago I saw a video of some random Canucks fan. He made a series of lists, or spreadsheets, or something like that, with every drafted player between like 2005 – 2012. Then his cat would randomly pick from a pool of every prospect who was available in that draft, when the Canucks picked. I think it was like numbered blocks on a sheet, with a piece of cat food in each block. The cat drafted a slightly better team than Nonis & Gillis did.
