  1. People sleeping on Danielson. Super underrated guy, and if you swapped the picks it would still make sense

  2. Almost makes up for Danielson. The last thing the wings needed is another 50pt per season middle 6 forward. They need elite talent and Axel provides that.

  3. To think that the Canucks could have gotten both Wilander and ASP… but of course, they gave that up plus a second…

  4. The Canucks could have had Wallinder and this guy but nah why would we want 1st rd draft picks

  5. The Danielson pick was underwhelming imo with Moore and Wood still on the board but I love the Pellika pick

  6. You know, people like to second guess Stevie Y because he doesn’t grab headlines with his acquisitions and takes solid guys, but it makes sense. Are any of us here old enough to remember when Steve was drafted? He literally had no one worth a damn around him for almost decade and was the Wings big splashy pick. I think he learned that a team should be built in the reverse order. Get your support guys around and get your good but not legends around first BEFORE you go out and get that legend so you don’t waste half of his career like the wings did him.

  7. I like him playing with Edvinsson on the 2nd pair. Walman has complemented Seider on the top pair. Still leaves Wallinder for the 3rd. The D is coming together.

  8. This is why i didnt marry myself to any 1 player this year and look at that Stevie Y does it again , whata first rd for the Wings , FN FANTASTIC

  9. It’s kinda crazy how the lions redwings and pistons all had drafts where you can swap the picks and they still make
    Sense 😂

  10. I was hoping the Wings would take Honzek at #9 and Barlow at 17. Sandin-Pellikka is a strong selection though. Danielson seemed like a reach but only time will tell. I hope he proves me wrong.
