Thought for sure it would be Fantill, as did most, but I think the added size and performance at the WC is why Anaheim went with Carlson. That and maybe Anaheim feels if they picked him he would have gone back to school for another year.
Ducks needed a more pure scorer , Zegras flat out is not a center and never will be … I wish they would of bit the 2yr – 3yr wait bullet and took Michkov who despite his size is as close to Bedard as you'll get … Fantilli is a much better scorer than Carlsson but he's (fantilli) more of a bully scorer just bulldozes in and shoots praying it goes in not much thought going into his decisions … Carlsson will be a great winger but again i don't think he'll be a great center maybe above average to good but not much more than that … Ducks must really think Mctavish is going to become a 40+ goal scorer or they know they're going to once again finish bottom 3 and have their eye on 2024 draft center

Watching Leo Carlsson videos and highlights heâs got insane iq and vision. He is also offensively elite but with more finesse and purpose. I think heâs going to make the Zegras and mctavish of the world better.
