Im a chicago fan but I root for San Jose in hockey, I just wanna say I appreciate how Laurence handles the hawks and the NHL as a whole. Keep having guests on that can educate both Holmes and the audience please.
They will totally sell at the TDL, but I think they will be too good up to that point to really have a shot at a top 3 pick. They are going to be 15-20 points better than last year.

"I hated the tank" – Lazerus is SUCH a child! IT'S NOT A TANK! It's a rebuild. To re-build, first you have to tear down. Laz is apparently the kind of guy who has an old house with a mortgage then decides he wants to build a new one that's larger and prettier, but instead of tearing down the old one, or finding a clear plot of land to build, he just builds off of the old one without doing anything to update or reinforce the original structure.
The Hawks HAD TO DO what they did last year. Had to. Period. They were in salary cap hell, had the WORST prospect system, and had a crap coach and they needed to find a new guy, they had NO draft picks…The list goes on. The fact that Davidson has fixed so much of that in such a short timeframe is a flat out miracle. And anyone who actually WATCHED that team last year knows THEY weren't tanking. Those guys played their asses off. They just had a lack of talent. If Davidson were doing the same things THIS year as he was last year in order to lose? Yes. THAT would be a tank. Last year was necessary.
