  1. A few Leafs picked in rounds 5, 6 & 7 over the last 18 years. You might recognize some of them.
Anton Stralman D, 938 NHL games played, 7th round pick in the '05 draft.
Leo Komarov C, 491 games & Viktor Stalberg LW, 488 games, both in the 6th round in '06.
    Carl Gunnarsson D, 629 games, 7th round in '07
    Greg Pateryn D, 290 games, 5th round in '08
    Sam Carrick C, 163 games, 5th round in 2010
Connor Brown RW, 448 games, 6th round & Domenic Toninato C, 169 games, 5th round, both in 2012
Andreas Johnson LW, 259 games, 7th round in 2013
Pierre Engvall LW, 244 games, 7th round & Dakota Joshua C, 121 games, 5th round, both in 2014
Dimitro Timashov LW, 45 games, 5th round in 2015
    under Lamoriello, zero
Filip Kral D, 5th round & Pontus Holmberg RW, 6th round in 2018 (Dubas) have played NHL games & Holmberg will make the Leaf's lineup for this upcoming season once again.

The bottom round picks usually take 3-5 years to develop, if at all, so although others picked by Dubas in 2018 & in later drafts, have also played NHL games, they were drafted in the 4th round or higher, so are not included here. Who knows, maybe Malinoski & Chadwick now going into the high level Leaf development machine, can beat the usual long odds & make it to the show. Those 14 guys listed above, show you it can be accomplished.
