I’m liking this directing, get rid of two of the worst contracts and attitudes on the team, neither wanted to play, back check or were either hurt or would just disappear for a few games then show up again, put a few points up then check back out, good riddance to them both, now we can focus on the young guns, who want to play, and produce, we might not be winning anytime soon but I like our direction going forward

They bought out a “buyout proof” contract that had signing bonuses that have to be paid in full. The cap figure they saved by trading Johansen will go to pay part of this charge.
This is a tank now so they should try to unload Saros, Josi, Forsberg, McDonagh, Barrie, Sissons, Trenin.
