Just saw that [Kailer Yamamoto is being bought out.](https://twitter.com/DarrenDreger/status/1674809148083453953) Don’t know a ton about him or his game, but he could be a fit on the right for cheap. Thoughts?
Probably not cheap enough. I expect he’s going to make around 2 million dollars. Technically we can afford that but it would probably require us running with just 20 skaters all year.

we can’t afford any meaningful player additions without moving someone, and frankly, i’d rather have Goodrow than another underperforming high draft pick in Kailer.

We can’t make any moves until we boot Goodrow, and that doesn’t seem to be happening.

He’d be a fantastic guy to take a flyer on, but like others have said we can’t really fit him in if he’s looking for anything more than $1.5M without moving Goodrow.

would be a great signing for the 3rd line, it would be what NYR should’ve done with Sonny Milano last year, but he’s not going to sign in the range NYR can afford

I was thinking about it too. Great PKer, solid defensively. Offensive ability is still in question.
Given his whole “first round” status and great 22 season, it’ll be interesting to see what he signs for. Most id do is like a 3×2

Blake wheeler is being bought out, he would be cheap af and proven guy. The guy still put up 50+ points last year at 36. since we cant really afford anyone and i dont want to see jimmy or goody playing top 6 again, he would be a good one year option

If he takes a really cheap 1-year “prove-it” deal, he’d be a really nice middle-6 RW fit. My only concern is there are rumors he has medical concerns that might be putting his career in jeopardy.

Detroit couldn’t afford him. The Rangers are not going to be able to afford him

I’m very partial on this since I grew up playing with him and his brother, but until Goodrow is gone nothing can be done.
