This is actually good news for us. Maybe we can trade him back to Pittsburgh now.

Where did this rumor start? It would the worst move Dubas has ever made.
I have a hard time believing that.
I mean, if it truly was bargain bin near league minimum it’s not that hard to fathom. I’m sure plenty of teams would take him as an option at that price.
Even if he was good which he wasn’t …dude has played 38, 27, 20 & 26 games over the last 4 seasons…that is just 38.28% of games despite him being the penciled in starter all 4 seasons…
Even if he was good AND even if he was healthy we already have Samsanov and Woll who can’t be sent down to the AHL anymore.

Dubas for all his pros and cons was still an NHL gm, and with that comes the fact that he will overvalue HIS guys. He kept Ceci around almost out of spite and protecting Holl and Kerfoot over McCann was an all time blunder. This is the second time this rumours come up, I know it was Kypreos who reported it first but I just don’t know why multiple insiders would report the same thing if there wasn’t some truth to it.
Apparently he listens to the Kypreos and Bourne podcast since the Neanderthal suggested that too.
Maybe at like 2×2, but I don’t see a significant pay there.

Dubas wasn’t perfect but I also don’t see him giving a long term extension to a perpetually injured guy. If anything he seemed to be a guy who would quickly move on from his mistakes
the fact kypreos also mentioned this means this rumour prob has legs.
It would be crazy if it was true, but Dubas does have a boner for anyone connected to the Soo Greyhounds, so it probably is true.
Murray was horrendous, why would they consider keeping him?

If that’s true, I’m glad Kyle’s gone.
Any raw feelings about Dubas aside…I’d take this with a huge grain of salt. It was “whispered” (i.e. no proof) and Dubas isn’t here to defend himself anymore. This stinks like rumor mongering for clicks during a slow period in the offseason.
Let him trade for him now then.

Have people finally learned that Dubas is a snake oil salesman who somehow convinced the best franchise in the league stacked with the top drafted players in the league to give him the purse strings.
The guy produced the highest number of consistently team-unfriendly contracts in the league and 5 game wins in the playoffs in 5 years.
Nepotism, one of the most backwards forms of management in business….was the Dubas MO. And why he went with Murray….and Kyle Clifford….and Nick Ritchie and Jack the crybaby Campbell etc……..
