  1. 0% chance PLD goes to the Wild.
The Wild have about $2M in cap space and PLD is reportedly going to get between $8M -$9M per. He has requested trade twice and as big of locker-room cancer as Parise and Suter.

  2. Re: the current PLD saga, I believe his agent Pat Brisson is simply posturing. He has one goal in mind, that is to get the best possible one-year "rental" deal for his client. By the way, this is also a great predicament for the Jets, a win-win so to speak. Personally, I am convinced that Dubois ultimately wants to become a Hab, and that at the end of the day he will gladly accept from Kent Hughes a contract offer similar to that of Suzuki or Caufield. However, should he sign an 8-year deal with another team à la Matthew Tkachuk, well … his true colors would finally be revealed. If that turns out to be the case, well … so be it. The ball is in his camp.
That being said, I'd be very much surprised if any team would take a chance on signing PLD on a long-term contract given his track record of always abandoning ship, i.e. Columbus, Winnipeg, and let's not forget when he was in the minors.

  3. This guy is not centering you to a cup. He is a high end 2C. He has never even scored 65 points in a year and wants $9mil. This would be Parise 2.0. Good player but not a great player. Pass. Plus he is a malcontent who only wants to play in MTL.

  4. Give them Zucarello and then we might be able to do something. Otherwise, MN has almost zero cap space!!!
