Thanking players just for playing for us. All 3 of these guys were acquired mid-season via trade this year. Gustav Nyquist only played 9 games for the Wild. NINE.
You’d never see a Boston or New York team do this. It just makes us look so incredibly soft and desperate.

EDIT: My bad…Steel wasn’t traded for mid-season, but you get my point.
Who cares. We couldn’t afford Nyquist and it’s not like we wanted either of the other two back anyway
I don’t understand why thanking players for their stint with us publicly is bad. It’s a classy move that all teams should do. It’s just sports. Like… I can’t imagine complaining about this on the internet. Good luck to you in your endeavors.
I don’t get it … how does it make us look soft and desperate? I think it’s just a small way to thank them for their service and also not burn any bridges in case our paths ever cross again in the future.
Classy > low brow. If you’re not a classy team and good to the players and fans, you can’t attract good players and then you’re in a downward spiral. I’m in Portland and there’s a classy and loyal player here for BB – Damien Lillard. If he didn’t appreciate the fans and the organization we’d be in Basketball heLL.
I think it’s just a thing where we thank people who’ve done a service. So I don’t think it’s bad. They’re good guys.
Or can they at least get individual posts?
Perhaps you would be a better fan of Boston or a New York team since that seems to be more aligned with your values then. Stay classy @BigRed727272
It’s a good look. You also don’t see the rangers develop prospects well . Should we stop trying to develop prospects???
What’s the problem with it?
It’s a Midwest goodbye

We are the Minnesota Mids forever! We must thank every player involved with the process!
How bitter do you have to be to be upset by this, jfc. Seems like your attitude would be better off in the Boston or New York fan base anyway :paintman:
You must be fun at parties.
Lololol, not only is your post the dumbest thing I’ve read all day, it’s also just straight up wrong.
The Bruins have tweeted thank you graphics for every one of their players that just signed elsewhere today:

This is one of the weirder things I’ve seen someone get upset about here lol
It’s a beautiful day, OP. Go outside.
Lmao you should consider therapy.
A few of my mates in my group are VGK fans and one of them was like you. Always bitching and whining about every little thing Vegas did but then they won the cup. Best thing was when the boys threw a party to celebrate the cup win they didn’t invite Corey because he talked so much shit and complained so much they didn’t consider him a fan.
When I see you using “we” in the comments when talking about the Wild I gotta say… You’re not really a part of it man.
Corey.
I think they should only do this with hall of famers or players that spent at least 5 years here
