The coolest part of being in Georgia as a Flames fan was how many people loved our jersey and team.
I would wear mine occasionally when I went to watch hockey down there. Without fail someone would come up to me with a southern hockey story. It was amazing especially because a majority of them supported Calgary due to our affiliation with Atlanta.
Honestly it was nice for me as I get homesick on the road sometimes. So it was nice to share a bit of Alberta with the world and get such a positive response.
