  1. Hey man, who is your personal favorite Jet and why?

Mine is Kyle Connor and Josh Morrissey. Im biased to those who signed long term with the jets. Our city is not that good for a young millionaire to live in, but they chose otherwise. That makes me respect them. Wrenchy, Knife, Fly

  2. i bought the moose package and have watched a majority of moose games this season and i have to tell you that Logan Stanley is not ready for the NHL . If they called Logan up to play with the jets it would be a disaster for him and his development.

  3. Both of those players are not ready to play in the NHL. If we play prospects too early, we'll just burn them out. They will not gain confidence, they'll just lose it. Also we didn't only play older players. Jansen Harkins succesfully graduated, when no one expected him to, just because he earned it. ves hasn't yet adapted to the north american style of play and Stanley was, is and will be a project and everyone keeps saying that since he was drafted.

Also do you know the development path of Mark Scheifele? He was sent down to the CHL multiple times and people realistically talked about him being a bust. Point being, the very worst thing you can do to a player is throwing him in the deep end and letting him lose all self-confidence. That's how you create a bust. That's how Edmonton for example ruined their prospects.

  4. As you said, the AHL and NHL are completely different leagues. If Stanley is struggling in the AHL, then he's a huge liability in the NHL. Just because you were a 1st round pick that doesn't guarantee you a couple games in the NHL. They need to be earned and as of now, he hasn't earned them. He knows that better than anyone. It would be great to see him in a Jets jersey, but only if he deserves it.

If he were a right hand shot, maybe he could have gotten a chance with Buff, Trouba and Myers leaving who were all right hand shots. You're not going to bring up a guy who is struggling to try him out and also put him on his off hand.

  5. Defenseman take a lot longer to develop … rather see him learn the pro game in the AHL .. could take 3 or 4 years

  6. Sorta strange these two, I agree on the 50/50 thing, but also consider that the past couple years the Moose have not been that strong of an AHL team also consider that the prospect pool for the Jets has dwindled extremely in the past three seasons. Still would like to see more improvement.
That all being said I've grown to believe in the coaching and development systems that Winnipeg has put in place, they've got a good track record so far, could be these two just need more time. There's no shame in taking extra years to get ready if you end up in the NHL, that's literally being in the top percentile!
