Toronto should pay him good, especially how the Canadian media trashed him. He have easily the best contract in Toronto, compare his production with marner & matthews. Can't help but think that was meant as a shot towards the Maple Leafs.
Willy deserves no less than 9mil per year, closer to 9.5 imo. He has been the best playoff performer out of all the "core 4" the last few years. 30+ goal 80+ point scorer every year….the only thing with willy is he doesn't like to fight for the puck in the corners or forecheck, hes a bit too soft imo. If he was on a different team that already had those crash and bang forechecking players but need a superstar just to put the puck in the net, i think thats where he would thrive.

Nylander has better playoff 5v5 stats than Pastrnak, and it's not really close. Pastrnak has a 11.25 cap hit.
