3-Goalies, they stocked the pantry, you can't win without great keepers, and have to throw out a big net. B
Re-Lias Andersson & picking up 1st rounders who have not been instant wonders. A 24 yr old with character who hasn't found his NHL place yet, but is working it out in the AHL, is an OK project. MSL understands that hockey is challenging from a human potential perspective. Persistence with an adaptable, growth-mindset makes for mental toughness.
i didn't love the newhook trade but i didn't hate it. i saw andrew chrsitall drop to 40 and groaned, they could have had a goalie and christall for those picks. the pick for reinbacher wasn't my fave but again it isn't terrible/ so i am ok with the front office but the next three years will be key to develpment. i like a two way dealforlias andersson, maybe take zadina for laval as well. but i relly want hoffman/armia gone soon. trading edmonson was good, and signing rhp to such a reasonable deal is good. the defence is deep now. harris ghule barron kovacevic reinbacker edstrom struble it's going to be rough competition for jobs the next three years and that's a good thing but they still need a game breaker forward, maybe two, to be a contender. those are hard to find. so root for calgary's 2015 pick being top five and bringing the star forward they need.
