  1. Talbot/Copley isnt ideal, but its still better than what we started last season with, and we still ended with 104 points.

I think we will pick up a goalie at the trade deadline again

  2. i know shannon a teddy fan like me, enjoy him on your team hope he works out

  3. i think every year in vancouver. management let’s ian clark pick a goalie he wants to work with for training camp. i trust him

  4. Maltsev leaving the Avs/Eagles for the Kings/Reign is my fault. I bought his jersey towards the end of the season. I think he played well and hope he turns out great.

  5. Finally a FA where Vancouver didn't make me go mad.
And what the hell are the ducks doing?

  6. The Talbot deal has a million dollar bonus if he plays 10 games so in reality it's a $2 million contract that will pay half the cap hit next season should be a good deal for LA quiet work for Blake and co. solid signings but I wonder if the Lewis signing and JAD resigning means a trade for Grundstrom or Lizzote or both, Maltsev seems like an insurance signing likely a guy who could help in a pinch but will clear waivers i don't expect much more from LA just RFA's

  7. Some people talk Gudas down because he makes occasional mistakes at the defensive zone.

A thing going for him is that he has way more time in the corners when under pressure and therefore makes less mistakes than many other d-men because he hits hard as hell. Amuse yourselves and see how forwards act when Gudas gives them a change to go for the puck in the corners. They don't dare go for the puck. He is one of the few player who is actualyl feared.

  8. Ducks have to overpay to get players with where they are at. Hopefully we don’t regret it later.

  9. Ducks did overpay but honestly the toughness of gudas to protect the young players and the veteran leadership of killorn is invaluable to them right now. They had more cap space than anyone. I think they still have about 30mil until the RFA’s sign

  10. Vegas signed Hill, that's probably all they need. But man that would make me nervous. Maybe they split duties with Thompson.

  11. Those are not bad moves by Anaheim, Killorn and Gudas are two players any contender would overpay for at the deadline.

  12. Vegas' big moves were trading Reilly Smith so they could keep Hill and Barbashev. They re-sign Dorofeyev and I dont think they make any more signings unless Howden is willing to be significantly underpaid. Maybe a bridge deal so he can cash out for the cap increase.

They have a couple young kids trying to break into the gap Smith and Howden will leave. Dorofeyev and Cotter are the most likely.

  13. Love the additions of Gudas & Killorn to the Ducks. Experience, grit, hard nose players who will bring a lot to the this great young core. Great signings by Verbeek!

  14. I know everyone is bullish on Connor Brown to EDM, but $4M is kinda steep. Sure, the bonus money is rolled over to the next season, but it eventually needs to be paid. Let's hope that he knocks it out of the park!

  15. I can see Martin or Sawchenko backing up Demmer through Christmas and let Silovs play regularly in Abbottsford. Depending on his progress up the valley, he could be the backup for Demmer through the second half of the season where the Canucks have several back to backs and come January they will have a pretty good idea of just how possible the playoffs will be. Personally I think they will make the playoffs. Calgary is going through a lot of turmoil, Seattle lost a couple of key character guys and figure to regress a little this year, San Jose and Anaheim are still a few years away so it comes down to how well LA does and I believed they played a little above their heads last year and a 5 to 8 point regression is not out of the question. Taking all that into account, I firmly believe Vancouver can add 5 regulation wins to their total based primarily on an improved defense, PK and fitness level demanded by Tocchet. I'd also love to see a resurgence in Brock's game. If he could give us another 10 to 12 goals there's no way the Canucks would miss the playoffs this year.

  16. Kraken also signed some D from Pittsburgh .. Brian Dumolin or something similar

  17. As a Ducks fan I do look forward to see "how" Gudas is gonna impact the Ducks (I know tough guy but hey)

  18. Silovs showed off his potential at the world championships. He can be a fine backup for your Canucks.

  19. Canucks is a playoff team now, they filled the holes now on the D and 3rd line C. JT miller will become the captain ❤❤❤

  20. I'm hoping that Brown rekindles his chemistry with Mcdavid from the otters and outscores mcdavid like he did in 2014

  21. I'm not usually into jerseys but I LOVE that Abbotsford Canucks jersey!! Very cool!!

  22. vancouver always disagrees with the rest of the league when it comes to their timetable. can't say it's ever paid off.

  23. Got to be really depressing that all those Abby AHL D are basically being told that there is no future for them in Vancouver. The Kraken are making room for AHL guys.
