I like Samsonov more because he seems to CARE more. I like a player who is invested in the game, and Murray just seems to me to be kind of uninterested.

Murray was a mess in Pittsburgh after his first year, frequently giving up soft goals at bad times. And his glove hand was always suspect.
Because murray isnt that good. You need a hot goalie to win in the playoffs and murray never gets hot

Being from Ottawa, I was excited that we signed him and then he was a big nothing burger here.
When Toronto (my fav team) signed him…I put my head in my hands.
Samsonov has been much better than Murray lately. Their own play will determine who the starter is.
Murray needs all the gadgets and largest equipment know to man to be a half decent goalie. Not nearly the talent Sammy has.

Murray signing is one of the worst decisions ever ! IF he had been playing at the level the leafs imagined he was Ottawa would still have him ! He is a backup now at best . He's way Overpaid which alone will hopefully lead to DUMBASS Demise and firing ! Check his stats and then ask WHY Pit let him and his 2 rings go !

Murray seems more steady on the ice at times. Samsonov as of late has seemed to be dialed! They are both very superstitious and seem to get into some mental breaks. Definitely not as much as Campbell did….so they look stronger. It will be a Playoff time decision. I think both will be used during the playoffs
Matt Murray is far too hot and cold. When he's hot he is unbelievable but he can be cringey to watch when he's not. Samsanov is a bit more steady.
