If the Penguins get Karlsson, I think they’ll get win the division. I could also see Carolina being legit this year so legit that they don’t get swept in the ECF.
Carolina_913
I say the canes and the devils will be at the top, but I’m not really sure who takes the title. Both teams have had significant offseason additions and it’s going to be a battle all season long. I don’t really see the Rangers going away, so I say they more than likely snag the third spot.
I think the pens will probably find their way back into the postseason as well. I feel like they’re more of a wild card team, but if Jarry has a comeback year and their new additions pan out they may have a shot at one of the three divisional spots.
The isles slipping into a wild card spot wouldn’t surprise me either. Doubt the caps make much noise, but they could also step it up if they stay healthy. BJ’s are questionable. Flyers are in full tank.

Don’t undersell the Caps, they started last season with a long list of injured and underperforming vets.
I think with their new coach, a few new role players joining the team off their Calder cup win, and healthy vets – they could be a surprise to snag that 3rd spot behind the Canes and Devs.

All great points from all these answers, I got to go with the Canes, even though I am a huge Devils fan. Still issues with Devils goalies is what is keeping them from the top slot.

Brutal. Canes, Penguins, NJ. Let’s see NJ have another very good season. Let’s see Penguins get hot in playoffs. Good luck against Carolina.
Hiddenbehindawall
Caps have made a lot of good moves in the off season, also Wilson, backy, and oshie were all injured for a while, Wilson and backstrom for over half the season. We also lost Carlson to a fractured skull, we lost Haglien to a cut eye, and brown to a knee replacement. They both were gone for the whole season. I think we bounce back a bit this year

Playoffs – Devils, Rangers, Penguins, Hurricanes.
Division – Rangers. I have a sense that Shesterkin is going to go off again, and Devils are going to be unexpectedly 3rd, not fighting for top spot as expected (I agree that they look amazing on paper, this is just a baseless hunch)
Lucifers_Goldfish
Biased but hear me out….I think the Rangers could take number 1. We’ve added a lot of depth and veteran puck moving ability. We may be on the slower side skating-wise but this team, if coached right under Laviolette and Muse, can move the puck up ice really efficiently. That with Igor in net and a solid D core…lights out
I think it will be a tight TIGHT race to the top but there are holes in all of these teams, it’s a matter of who’s better defensively and goaltending imo and we have both of those moving into the upcoming season. But I’m a scrub playing beer league hockey so, whatever. I’m just here to have a good time. Cheers boys!
I feel like the caps could make WC and for those who are gonna say no I’m wrong and doubt me remember back to when they won the cup in 2018 everyone was already counting them out and saying they weren’t gonna get far mainly because they have a bad playoff track record but they still won anyways even though they don’t have that team anymore I feel like with Charlie and some of the young players that they are getting they could do something because that was they’re problem last season they had a lot of old players and most of them we’re getting injured

Canes, Devils, Rangers, CBJ (if healthy this year), Isles, Pens, Caps, & Flyers. I’m biased. But, we added alot of depth. Also many of our rookies had tons of experience last year, being thrown to the wolves. Now only if Merzlikins can stop a puck.
