Max Domi was another intriguing name brought in by Toronto with his connection to the team and how his value to the team depends on where he plays in the lineup. Leafs are currently $8 Million over the Salary Cap. They will have to give up one of the Big 3. Auston, Mitch, or William. And they don't have cap space to swap any of those players for another high priced player. I don't think trading JT is viable, because Leafs would have to retain $5 or $6 Million of his salary. Must be frustrating for the Leafs to watch X Toronto Player Fred Vanleet sign an NBA contract for 1/2 of the entire Leafs Payroll.

Still would have preferred they re-signed Acciari & Schenn instead of bringing in Reaves & Klingberg. Sad that they're gone.
Really deep with wingers , like to add a top 4 defenceman to shelter klingbergs defensive liabilites. Lots of work /moves left to do yet .

People blame the core four but the blame belongs to Dubas and his Nick Petan, Malgin, etc adds, more of the same. Does Patrick Kane have to get tough, how about Panarin? Fight? Dubas is a stubbord idiot. Bring on the grit. Domi, Bertuzzi, Reaves and McCabe will drop the gloves more than the start of last season.

If I were the Leafs, I would move Brody's contract and bring in a big strong defensive defense-man with presence. Brody showed his age in the playoffs.
