The #canucks had their development camp scrimmage tonight in the Father Bauer Arena at UBC. Both teams really impressed me, however I felt like it was a bit of a choppy game–but thats to be expected with two groups that have had only a few days together really.

All the top picks were playing solidly, with Willander showing a lot more offensive upside than I initially thought were in his wheelhouse. I was hopeful that Alriksson would have steadier, more controlled hands, but that was not the case. Here’s to hoping that his size can be used more effectively, but I found his tenacity to drive-in plays a good sight to be seen.
