  3. Star studded Leeds The most skillful execution masters of their craft ! Alan Clarke most underrated English footballer

  4. This match should be kept to show all the current footballers who are earning a crazy amount of money, doing what these guys did for a Pittance.

  5. I was blessed to be a teenager in those days when football wasn't dominated by the team with the biggest cheque book. Ok they signed sniffer Clark for a then record ยฃ166,000 but the bulk of the team were brought in just out of school. As a young Scottish Leeds fan I never got the chance to see them at Elland Rd but I was very fortunate to see the many great Scottish Leeds players at Hampden in a Scottish jersey.
It's a shame Eddie Gray missed out on many Scottish caps through injury, he was a special talent.
Thanks for the memories, Eddie and Frank Gray, Billy Bremner who played 773 times mostly as captain, Peter Lorimer, David Harvey, Joe Jordan, Gordon McQueen, Duncan Mackenzie.
Those days are gone, it's all about money, no more loyalty playing for the jersey.
Sadly, I've no time for football now, maybe gets played on better surfaces by fitter players who's diet is better, but 69% are not even British getting paid more in a week than the PM gets in a year.
    Just pathetic. ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข

  6. Three occasions when the Gelderd End would be guaranteed to buzz with excitement.

    1. Lorimer lining up to take a free kick with the goal in visual range.

    2. Eddie Gray on the ball taking on a defender – hopes of Burnley revisited.

3..Billy Bremner on the ball anywhere – a sense that anything cold happen.

  7. That was a magnificent Leeds side but Iโ€™m always left wondering if Mick Jones ever scored a clean goal!

  8. i know revie tried to buy wins on bribery, why god knows, especially when you had one of the greatest football teams in England, and im a LFC fan….watch Leeds destroy southapton in 1973 i think. its on youtube, perfection

  9. Missed out on double last game of season made to play Monday night after playing cup final sat disgrace

  10. If i remember correctly they also creamed Southampton around this time 7-0 which was also on MOTD

  11. Cracking game, dominated by the great Leeds side of that time. the game back then was how it should be played,

  12. There was really good footballers in those days. Great skill, accurate passing, good shooting, and all on a muddy pitch.

  13. When My football was a golden period of endless excitement. Leeds Utd were the team of that day.

  14. Leeds lost more than they won by a very long way. Fa cups particularly and in Europe. Jackie played in 4 fa cups after the world Cup.won one. Credit they won the league at A๐Ÿ˜ฎnfield,, 2 uefa cups. Well beaten in the European Cup. Thier fans destroyed Paris after 76 Bayern. Classy of them. Not a patch on paisley's Liverpool. Jackie should have moved to Liverpool when he had the chance

  15. I was there, what a fantastic memory to see all those legends of the day.

  16. Whatever Clough said, Leeds were a great team. On their day, by far the best. Yorkshire hasnโ€™t had one like them since.
