  1. Just heard the news way too excited I was wondering if you were going to report on this thanks for the work

  2. Great deal on Kopitar. Gives them $3M more cap space next year. Kopitar might lose a step, but he still solid and productive and shows up every game. Mr. Dependable and he helped the team by taking less despite still leading the team in scoring. Pretty good guy.

  3. Like the Kopitar extension. I hope to see kings win another Stanley cup in the next few years. I have a feeling Anze will hang it up after 20 seasons in kings uniform.

  4. Reported 23 million cap space after next off-season. Free agent resigns Hypothetically: 5 million should cover arvidsson per season, 5 million for matt roy, kaliyev 3.5 to 4 million, byfield( depending on how he does this season 2.5 million. And then some change for goalies because it doesn't seem like we're going to pay a goalie over 3 million a season any time soon.

  5. After 3 years i think the Kings can do like Anahiem did with Teemu Selanni and go $1 or $2 mill a year until Kopi decides to retire. After this contract he will not be playing for money seeing as he will have earned around $120 million on his career and the only thing left will be him playing just because he loves playing.

  6. Eddie, sorry about the long post, but

On the new guys coming to Kings camp this season and that are most likely gonna play in Ontario i am really excited to see this taking shape.

Tynan will still be captain. Losing Lias Andersson was a bummer. Ward, Madden, and Dudas coming back is gonna be a plus.

Dudas had some really good chemistry to start with Chromiak before Chrome got injured. Helanius should take it up a notch. The guy is taylor made for the NHL in the next few years.

Oh yeah, and Fagemo will be back i think. As well as Turcotte.

Penelli, Laferriere and hopefully jack Hughes i am pretty excited about. Krygier i don't really know a lot about but I'll be keeping an eye out for him.

It's not clear yet whether Spence plays in LA full time or Clarke does but 1 of them will be headed to the Reign since both are on ELC contracts and are waiver exempt and can be called up at will.

Can't wait to see what Portillo's got.

Since LA is most likely going to play a 20 man roster next season they more than likely don't carry the extra 2 players in LA for a 22 man roster like they did by carrying Kupari and JAD up in LA all season and scratching them constantly.

Just the 20 man roster and call up guys as needed which means either Spence or Clarke takes that right side pairing in LA while the other plays in Ontario but is on call.

Bjornfot should take the left side 3rd pairing because him and Spence have already played a full season together in Ontario in every situation as the #1 pairing. They could easily be paired as a 3rd pair with specialized duties in LA. Spence on the power play and Bjornfot on the PK.

Moverare i see moving into the top pairing in Ontario with Clarke if Clarke gets sent down. Moverare has solid team stats. When he's on the ice the team shoots more compared to when he's not on the ice. It should work well with Clarke who will most likely try for more offensive movement.

I'm starting to get excited with how Ontario is shaping up. Can't wait to see how it shakes out.

  7. Nice to hear Kopitar will be around for at least a couple years more.
Went to the camp yesterday and the abilities those young men possess is absolutely incredible.
Being that close makes each and everyone look as though they all have the abilities to play in the nhl tomorrow.
    Great show as usual.
