This is better than a lot of hall of famers' career highlights, and that's not a knock on them.
These goal scoring reels show off the speed strength touch and finesse of pro hockey not just connors stuff
This is what the all star weekend should replicate
None hockey fans should be able to recognize just in a glance
Some kind of puck skill course like kanes handles through the line of pucks (but slightly easier obstacles guys can do quicker, not like the mini passing nets thats too tough an obstacle without practice
Spread items apart and only the puck has to go around the small item (something flat to maneuver around, a puck) displaying a reach ability with puck control
May seem silly and destructive but some kind of big target and 8-10 guys get 30 second to collapse/destroy the made up target with as many rapid fire shots (would need to be safe obv)
just ideas
the players put on the show find out what they like/want to do, they like incentive and have to be excited
the skill is on display in practice
empty net no pressure strength and creativity flowing
thats what needs to be broadcasted
less formal shows, more entertainment
One of those players that will change the way the game is played. So many kids will grow up and try to replicate what this guy can do.

+shakes head+ I'm 48. I've played hockey since 14. Seeing a guy this good against pro players… smh. I hope ppl realize how incredible guys like 97, 87, etc are. That 29 – 97 combo is like 17 – 99 a few decades ago.

He´s crazy… I think if you´d compare him to Gretzky as his peak, McDavid is above him… Today´s hockey is way better than back then… But Gretzky is stil my top one 🙂

If any other player was to make these kinds of highlights, theyd be on a highlight reel and sportsnets top 10 for weeks, for mcdavid this is just what he does. Either edmonton needs to buckle down and actually build a proper defensive structure, or let him and drai win a cup somewhere else.
