Ok, so here is another trade alert as the Habs have acquired defensemen Erik Gustafsson from the Philadelphia Flyers. Gustafsson has 1 goal and 9 assists this year , and has been in and out of the lineup since the season began. The Habs sent a 7th round draft pick in the 2022 draft to the Flyers, and the Flyers also retained 50% of Gustafsson’s salary, which is beneficial to the Habs, as they are up against the cap wall right now.
The Trade Deadline is finally over, and all the players can relax around the NHL, as nobody else will be on the move until the season is over.
