I’m curious what the sort of reaction we see from the Flyers/NHL.
On one hand, the Flyers might have accepted that Fedotov was walking. No sense in fighting this battle if he doesn’t even want to come to Philadelphia.
But the NHL can not be happy seeing the KHL question the memorandum of understanding.
[Interesting article](https://archive.nytimes.com/slapshot.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/07/11/nhl-predators-issue-statement-on-radulov/) from 2008 about when Radulov signed in Russia despite having an NHL contract. Bill Daly’s statement is basically identitical to today’s. (The NHL did nothing. There was no retaliation)
So the KHL has accepted Ivan’s CSKA contract even though he has a valid contract with the Flyers. I admit I am not fully versed in how the KHL works, but I wonder if this sets a precedent for the Flyers to eventually bring Michkov over before his 3 years is up. If the KHL won’t honor NHL contracts, why would the NHL honor the KHL’s? Genuinely curious.
Fuck the KHL at this point. Throw money at Michkov and get him over here.
He is never coming over
Looks like we can get Michkov next year then because fuck you why not. Still good with him having another year or two in development over there though tbf.
