This is one of the best I’ve seen yet. Addison is a brilliant addition. But considering Ottawa wants to win would they not want a nhl calibre forward back rather than Johansson? With that I am turning towards Copp, Fabbri and Perron. Rasmussen too. Or am I unrealistic? Losing one of them would hurt, especially Rasmussen, but we are also getting Debrincat

I agree with almost everything you said, but I would do couple things differently: Matt Murray is overpaid and injury prone, but we could possible move up in the Draft and get another 1st round pick if we take his contract. Similar trade than the Mrazek trade. It's also only a 1y contract – Which gives us flexibility and, maybe Cossa is ready to be the Back up goalie in 24-25🤔This years Draft is super good and there will be some really good Prospects available in the 25-35 range. I like Pius Suter, but he apparently aren't signing a extension in Detroit, because he wants a longer term contract and Yzerman isn't willing to do that. Which I think it's a good move since Veleno should be a full time NHL'er next season. We need his speed and physicality.

I like this scenario a lot, I would just not resign Suter and instead move Soderblom up permanently
Tarasenko's injury history is ? . Anderssen is a good goalie but I would try to go younger if possible. It also depends on Cossa's time frame in getting to the NHL. Debrincat is a great fit. I also agree with Gudas. Konency from Philly is an option. Scheifele would be my choice in a trade and Copp knows him very well.. Zadina should be gone and Veleno in trades. Suter sounds like was offered a contract which he declined and could be going elsewhere through free agency. I don't know much about Addison. Edvinsson will be up with Detroit depending how quickly he recovers from shoulder surgery.
Ned. Lindstrom, Pysk, Haag, Hellberg, Chiasson and Suter will be gone.
Mark Scheifele has one year left at $6.125 million and is a free agent 2024-2025. Extend him for another 3-4 years.
Like you said, Yzerman isn't pushing the cap to the edge. I think that Soderblom, Kasper, and Edvinsson will make the team this year (and Mazer will be close, but likely stays in GR). Don't see us getting Vlady T. I see everyone saying Detroit is in on Debrincat. Not sure if Ottawa is going to want to trade with Detroit unless there is a larger piece. If it's for #17, Zadina, a 2nd, etc I am ALL IN! Would love to have two native MI boys locked up on the top line! Hope we lock Suter and Veleno up for 2-3 years and wouldn't mind getting a tough guy like Gudas. Also like the idea of bringing in Anderssen. Not much to select from in net – maybe Toronto will ship Murray with picks/players? Not in an ideal situation for a backup G.
I dont think anything here is unreasonable, except all of it combined. Id imagine yzerman will leave himself with cap flexibility.
If we trade for debrincat and sign compher tarasenko doesnt make sense.

Never considered Freddie Anderson, but if term and aav make sense that would make a solid goaltender tandem.
I expect to see 5 new faces in the everyday lineup next year, all of which being improvements.
Raymond and Debrincat are both right shots, they won’t be on a line together. Debrincat would move Raymond down to the second line until raymond can take that spot (if ever)
If given the opportunity , Joe Veleno will have a breakout year !

I like what you did on the forward lines, however since this broadcast Yserman has added Sprong, Kostin, and Fischer. Do you agree with these adds. How would that affect your roster. I personally don't think Yserman has spent prudently on defense. He brought in Gostisbehere at 4.1 mil; Holl at 3.4 mil; and extending Chiarot at 5.3 mill. For that money he could have made a trade for Erik Karlsson (Sharks would eat 5.0 mill of his 11.5 mil contract) Detroit would have to give up 2024 1st round pick (New Yorks), a player (name a cheap defenseman), and a prospect. Detroit has a history of signing older HOF defensemen –Slava Fetisov was 37 and played 4 more years, Larry murphy was 36 and played 4 more years, and Chris Chelios was 37 and played 10 more years. Stevie played with these three guys and each was instrumental in winning a Stanley Cup.
